Waterfall
‘Tis in this verdant lee I lie with thee, ‘Neath careful tree above this runnel row, Where mossy mound is kissed by water’s glee, And rose bestows thy supple skin aglow, And in this dream we enter gentle stream, In boat that you provide we slowly glide, O’er swish and swell we navigate this seam, With me inside and lovely you astride, Anon, the calm is gone as waters rise, Rapidly we go, Jul’et and Romeo, While fervent spray from crest and trough baptize, We press and close our eyes because we know, A waterfall will come to end it all, And tiny death shall suddenly befall. - Scott Alexander McKenzie
